See http://www.amazon.com/Studio-Ghibli-and-Associated... for a list of films similar to the two Miyzazki films you have mentioned.
The only ones I do not recommend are the two “Ghost in the Shell'' films, which are in the list only because the second one was in part financed by the president of Ghibli Studios.
Most of these have lots of review on amazon.com which will give you more information on what they are about.

Ahh an anime fan.
Well, I've just bought the DVD The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and I laughed and cried. It was good. Another one, well, is Fireflies of the Grave/ or Grave of the Fireflies...something like that... :S

Yeah, you should check out Grave of the Fireflies, very good movie.
