How can I remove paint from taillights on a car?
I tried to black out my taillights with "Nite Shades" (Stupid Idea) and now my taillights look reallly crappy, what can i do to remove the paint? I already tried nail polish remover and gasoline and so on but nothing works, Will WD-40 work? or can i sand them down? Please help!!! :(

Let it dry. Pour mineral Spirits [Paint Thinner] into a metal (throw away) can about the size of a soup can. Take a wad of "0000" [4-"OH"] steel wool, dip it the MS, and rub away the the paint. Repeat until done. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. If plastic is dull, buy some Plastic Polish (#2) or even headlight polishing kit.
Pulling the taillight assemblies will make it easier to clean more throughly.

Gentle use of brake cleaner fluid! Use a soft tissue and try not to rub too much! if you see any change in the plastic, wash with water and soap then start again.

my, my should have let it dry and then used a razor blade,you have probably already dulled the finish,
