What's the M and W mean when ordering Chacos?
I thought it meant men and women but when I got my Chacos, it said womens (m) which leaves me feeling confused. Can someone please describe this to me in much detail? Thank you!

M and W on shoes is to denote the width of the shoe -usually you will find it with the size number. For example 7W or 10M or in Europe 42M. M is for medium width and W is for wide width. The difference is across the ball of the foot, some people are wider. If you have no trouble with the way most shoes fit across the instep and ball of the foot then you are a medium width. If you find shoes tight across the front then you are a Wide width. Most people who take wide width shoes know they need W and look for shoes marked with a W There's also N for narrow, but you seldom find anything in a narrow width any longer.

Per my email from Chacos customer service: "
On the heels of your sandals, M or W signifies the gender; A dot is a medium width and a dash for a wide width"
