What is the difference between tweeting and texting?

Now, I've never been on Twitter but it seems like texting and tweeting are pretty much the same thing?! Thanks for the info!

when you tweet, it goes online to twitter.com where all your friends and even strangers can see it. when you text, you are sending it to a specific persons cell phone and only they can read it.

Tweeting is when use Twitter and type there or through your computer, phone, etc. There is a character limit.

Texting is what you type with your phone to anywhere. There is no limit.

no because when you tweet something everyone who is following you can read it.... when you are texting only the people who you send it to can read it.

If you tweet something, like "Going Horseback riding :) :)" then all your followers can see it. If you text your friend "Going Horseback riding :) :)" then only your friend can see it.

Tweeting is for queers like you. And texting is for straight guys like me who shower with their best friends.
