My truck sometimes fails to start.?

ok so this started hapening on saturday (6/25/11) i was going to leave to the store on my 2000 Toyota Tundra 4.7 2WD Ext. Cab when i turned the key it didnt start. (the engine didnt even try to start) i thought it might be the starter but i tool it to an auto shop and they said the battery, starter, and alternator where normal. they said something about the Ignition Module. are they lying?? haha i just want to know what is happening exactly. its happened a few times after too and more frequently.

BOTTOM LINE, I TURN THE KEY, AND NOTHING HAPPENS AT ALL UNTIL THE SECOND, THIRD, OR FOURTH TIME. PLEASE HELP. THANKS IN ADVANCE

my thought isa related to the starter solenoid. the contact washer in it is dirty or contaminated to the point that the circuit CAN not be completed all the time. my solution is to either replace the solenoid or at least pull it off of the starter and clean up that washer adn the two contacts with it.
