How do i get my parents to move from the suburbs to a big city?
I'm 14 years old and have lived in the same house my whole life. i feel like I'm trapped here and i really hate it. i keep bringing up to my parents of how depressed i am here and how it is making things really miserable for me but they just yell at me and tell me that I'm being a drama queen. but i honestly hate it here. we've vacationed to Chicago New York City and a few other cities like that and I was so much happier. how do i convince my parents to move to a place like that?

1.) Find both of them satisfying jobs in their fields that pay well.
2.) Find a home that you can all live in that they can afford.
3.) Find a suitable school to attend.
Otherwise, you're just whining and bitching about your boring life, just like every other teenager in the history of ever.

Sadly unless the city is only an hour or so away your parents jobs are already there and it's too hard to just pack up and move. I have the same exact problem and I am glad that I at least have San Francisco to escape to when I need a get away but I have plans on moving to N.Y.C. after I graduate high school, sometimes you just have to have the strength to make the move for yourself. Just talk to your parents in a year or so (or now if you want even though it may be a bit early) about college and to set a fund up for college so you have enough money because college in a big city is a lot more due to the fact that rent is more expensive there, I think that'd help a lot.

My husband and that i've got been in an identical concern. We lived around NYC yet have been the two from the suburbs. We desperate to have a toddler on an identical time as residing in the city and that i've got been given pregnant... then we questioned if we would desire to constantly flow to the suburbs... we did no longer. truthfully, i could do whichever place you think of you would be the happiest! once you're making plans on shifting in 2 or 3 years (we are too!) then i could in all hazard only take excitement in being an city mama formerly you go settle someplace else. i could re-examine the existence form you imagined in the city.. reason an city existence form with and without little ones is VERRRRY distinctive, lol... yet the two could be incredible! Yea, there is not any longer a great number of nature.. yet we are able to take weekend journeys, a lot of mom meetup communities and directions and events for youthful infants. truthfully, we only approximately moved back to the suburb I got here from... and that i'm so happy we did no longer. i'm going and visit now and lower back reason it incredibly is basically approximately 25 minutes away.. and that i start to experience what it may be like residing there from only spending an entire day around city.. and it does experience trapped and held back. Smaller residences are advantageous as long as there is sufficient room for the toddler to crawl around! & i understand the way it incredibly is without the vehicle.. we've one yet i do no longer tension. autos are incredibly basically a worry right here, lol. it is easy to get around with my son.. i take advantage of a BabyBjorn on the subway and function a incredible stroller that folds up and is easy that i will even carry forth. additionally, much less holiday (for the reason which you're already in the city!) equals extra relatives time!!! I only see our lives going to the suburbs ultimately.. as quickly as we prefer to flow and purchase a house in 2/3 years.. and that i've got the remainder of my existence to stay that existence. i think of it incredibly is incredible to combine it up slightly in case you have the prospect and it incredibly is a few thing you like! i could supply the city a go... a minimum of attempt it out formerly you decide on... in the different case you ought to constantly ask your self! EDIT: CONGRATS on your 1ST toddler BTW!! they're stunning! :-) ... lots excitement forward!

Stop moaning. just be grateful you have a roof over your head and food in your mouth. So many people in this world have NOTHING!!!!!! In 4 years you will be 18 then you can get a job and live where you like. Volunteer your time to help others less fortunate than you are. Drama Queen is probably right.
