Is God the Universe itself?

Consider this : If God is to contain all and is to be the greatest being thus, what else other than the Universe itself be the God?

Update:

In General: We are trying to find out what the myth of God has emerged from. Every myth ought to have a reality-basis. So God-myth can't be distinct from Universe.

CARTERBOY: BF : JACK : What is bigger - the Mexico City of your dream or your head!!

BOSTA : At some time or the other Krishna has told Arjuna that the Universe is the God.

SUMIT: Altruism may not explain the hard facts.

No, the universe is His energy:

BG 7.4: Earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intelligence and false ego — all together these eight constitute My separated material energies.

BG 7.5: Besides these, O mighty-armed Arjuna, there is another, superior energy of Mine, which comprises the living entities who are exploiting the resources of this material, inferior nature.

BG 7.6: All created beings have their source in these two natures. Of all that is material and all that is spiritual in this world, know for certain that I am both the origin and the dissolution.

BG 7.7: O conqueror of wealth, there is no truth superior to Me. Everything rests upon Me, as pearls are strung on a thread.

some human beings do imagine that. The are called pantheists, possibly panentheists searching on the flavour. it is an really previous idea. I easily have concept about it and rejected it. If God is the universe, that contains me. So once you boil all of it down, God is the in simple terms ingredient that objectively exists. problem is, I kinda like present as me. as well that, what's the large difference between God being the universe and no God in any respect?

If A is contained in B then A cannot be B.

    Pretty simple.

But I would still say that the logic statement above is false. God does not contain the universe. God is distinct from it, but all pervasive.

no God simply enlopes with Mother Nature to form this wonderful world: Earth. he is not responsible for the universe nor events that happen in our solar system and our sun.

This question is based on the assumption that God is even real. The question is meaningless pontification until the premise is proven true.

    Source(s): Reason.

How can you live your mundane life and come up with such a ridiculous question? If you seek God you will find God, and if you seek yourself you will find yourself. End of story.

  • The universe is finite, God is not.

No, God is greater than the universe. He created it.

Not the universe is real where as God is a myth. Simple when you think about it.
