Is there a way to check who is rating answers down?

Seems that in some sections, people are going around rating all answers down, even if the answer is good, and contains links and quotes to support the answer. Other uses have commented on this as well. Is there a way to check who is doing this? Or a way to report and stop it?

The answers team can see who is giving thumbs. If you think you are a victim of ratings abuse you can email the team. Include as much evidence as you can gather that shows a pattern of excessive thumbs down. After you send the email be patient, if they do anything it will take time. They will contact you if they need more information, other then that they will not contact you.

People have been suspended for thumbs down abuse.

Unfortunately there isn't, as far as I know - I do wish that there was a mechanism in place to prevent this, though. I'm also being trolled by an individual, and have noticed that he has also voted down other people who have posted on the same question as I have. There's a very predictable pattern going on.

I'm becoming increasingly irritated about this in the birds section. IMO, ego has no place when it comes to the health and wellbeing of birds, yet that one idiot in particular on there doing this to bump up his ratings - and I know for a fact that he has an illegal backup account - so that his influence counts double. Additionally, he pretends to qualifications that he does not have, which T's me off big-time, because it fools some people into voting for him when they otherwise might not. I've also found it necessary to hide my profile, to stop him from going through everything I post and routinely voting it down.

I've had a couple of public ding-dongs with this idiot so far, and really don't want to air any more dirty laundry about this in public, because what I've said so far seems to have affected my own standing. I've given a couple of links below, if you want to check examples of this, and the predictable voting pattern. I know I shouldn't have got so irate about it, but it seems that Yahoo! doesn't want to take my abuse report seriously (perhaps because I'm so new on here?) Can I ask you to please email me via my profile for further info about this, so that I can pass you further links to see for yourself?

FWIW, I've frequently made a point of specifically giving you the thumbs up on your posts - we so often end up in complete agreement on many answers, and it's great to see someone else who actually CARES about birds posting on the board.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Sorry no there is no way to find out who is giving the thumbs down or up on this site. There are users on this site that just like going around the site giving out thumbs down out of badness.

I would imagine that the computer system would know who was giving all the thumbs down, but this would be a waste of money and time for Yahoo answers to check through.
