What percentage of theists have a college education or more?
This isn't to prove a point or anything, I've been looking up statistics on atheists, and I can't find any demographics on Christians, or any religion for that matter on things like college education. A good answer would include an unbiased source, like a government survey or a Gallup pole, a best answer would include more than one source. Thank you, I am generally curious about the demographics of college education.
--This isn't a debate on who is better or worse, please just post your answer and a source.
-Thanks!
So no one has any actual statistics?

I can't speak to a percent, but I've read several studies which say atheists on average have more education than theists.
It makes sense. I think advanced education is a part of what influences some christians to become atheists. Learning about logic in college was certainly one thing that made my atheistic beliefs more solid.

I don't have a link to a specific number, but they shift according to the focus of the educational system in any given country. The more secular an educational system is, the less theists you will find at the upper levels. That doesn't necessarily mean that those people are smarter - it often simply means that they have been indoctrinated to a very high degree in a specific way of thinking.

What an ignoramus. My state, Texas, is ranked as having the second best economy in the United States. Texas is home to NASA (I live just 10 minutes away from it and have neighbors who work for NASA); Texas is home to many large universities and is home to numerous technology giants like Dell Computers and AT&T; and Texas is renowned for being an agricultural and energy giant.
Liberals, who ironically uphold tolerance as a sacrament, would have you believe that Texas is a backwood state that is full of rednecks and buffoons. However, Texas is a very modern and diverse place. I live in an affluent area of Houston, and there are accordingly many Jews, Asians and other high achieving minorities who live here. There are many immigrants that come to Texas from all over the world.
Oh, and most of us don't speak anything like George W. Bush, who is actually from Connecticut. Most people I know, including myself, speak with a subtle southern dialect but do not have a twang.

I would say a lot do. The Catholic Cardinals and workers at the Vatican are extremely educated. They speak numerous languages and excel in science.
I'm a theist and I am currently at university.

Who cares? You don't have to be a brain scientist to have common sense. In fact, many intellectuals I know have no common sense whatsoever!
