Survey: Has anyone ever used the CitiKitty Toilet training system for their cat?

How did that work out for you? We got one for our daughters kitten and older cat, it has been two days and so far they refuse to use it,though, they enjoy the cat nip in the litter?

Update:

We did discuss the CitiKitty with our vet before buying it and it is safe! The kitten goes in for regular visits and all is well, more disease is spread in litter boxes than a potty. This is a young healthy kitten, and today she pooed and did tinkle three times, I think it is going to work for my daughter! Now if I could get the kitty to quit chasing these big dogs around the house we would be fine!

Interesting. I just got my cat a house kitty litter box to keep the dog out of it. So far so good.

I've never used it but I've looked into the cat-toilet-training thing. From what I've read about it, it will take time for the cats to acclimate to it. It could take weeks or months. It's a new thing so they have to get comfortable with it (just like humans, when we go from diapers to potty training).

I wish you the best of luck and all I can say is reward their curiosity and show lots of affection.

I have not used it nor I have been attracted to the idea of my cats using the toilet.

And there is a very good reason for it being a bad idea. It is important to be able to check how much a cat is urinating and defecating.

Especially with urination - there is no way to be able to tell if a cat is urinating as it should if it uses a toilet.
