Is it possible to hate religion but believe in a god?

How many people here believe in a higher power but are completely disgusted with organized religion?

    Disgusted? No.

    Disillusioned? Definitely.

Too many organized religions have lost sight of their original intent in pursuit of "bigger & better".

Too many have become ensnarled in bureaucracy.

Too many place too much importance on the man-made rules of the organization (to keep the ship running smoothly) and too little on the Word of God. They've lost faith in His guidance.

As a general rule-of-thumb I would say never join a church that is so big they have to hire a full time financial manager or fund raiser or find it "necessary" to seek the services of an advertising agency.

    God Bless You!

I do, I don't believe in any organized religion, but I believe in God as a great power.

There are many religions in the world and some of them are false religions believing in worshiping idols, and there is a faith who believe that their worshiping of God is the true way.

I am Christian and used to be part of the faith I mentioned. Christianity is by far the fastest growing faith in the world. My love and I discovered it to be THE TRUE WAY to worship God.

You state a god. There is only one God. The creator of you and I and all other life and the Earth and Universe.

It is up to you to like or dislike whatever you participate in.

Well some religions do not teach the true God if that is what you mean. The ONLY way to know him is through his word the Holy Bible. Anything else is just the imaginations of men - and constitutes idolatry.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

    I think yes..

But what is the point of believing in God if you can't do anything about it. I mean, if one believes in god but doesn't implements on his teaching then what is the point of believing in God at all.

Its just like one claiming to be a U.S national but denies any government over the U.S..

Yes, religion can impede what you need, which is a relationship with God. Religions all suffer from 'legalism' - which is doctrine getting enshrined above true worship.

Yes it's possible. I don't have a "religion" per sa. I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal savior.

Of course, and many people believe as you do.
