Best way to stay fit in college?

I'll be a sophomore, but last year I had the worst time trying to stay fit, with class during the day and sometimes at night too and then doing homework on top of that, plus the fact that the food isn't the healthiest either.

Update:

and yes, obviously there is a gym on campus too. I was just wondering really if there are any major exercises I should be doing, besides running, and foods I should eat, since I don't have a ton of time to devote to working out...and I don't start class until 9am, so would it be best to workout in the morning before class or weight until the afternoon/evening, depending when I get out of class.

    Is there a gym on campus? Go there once in a while. There's probably some healthy food somewhere on or near campus, though it may cost a bit more; find it and eat some once in a while. Walk around a lot, especially on weekends.

    You probably have more energy and fewer distractions in the morning, depending on how early you wake up. Doing high-intensity exercises burn a higher percentage of carbs than fat, and low-intensity exercises burn more fat than carbs (but fewer calories overall); which you do depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

    I take 15 hours of class, work 3 jobs, and workout 1-2 hours 6 days a week. You just need to evaluate your time and weigh out what is most important. Is being in shape more important then going out on the weekends? Or would you rather have a drink but have a gut? You can't do everything. Pick out what is most important to you and schedule your other things in your life accordingly.

    Save up money, so go shopping, ONLY BUY HEALTHY FOOD. it sounds easyer then it is though..

    then only eat it when you have time, not just cause your bored. like alot of people do. and also on weekends, instead of partying and going out go to the gym for a few hours till you feel like you worked enough.

    dont starve yourself, if you do when you eat normal again, all that will happen is it will slow down you metabolism and you will gain LOTS of weight.

    If you eat ALOT of the healthy food it will speed up your metabolism(:
