why do people still think the reds are gong to the playoffs?

I am not sure. It's is still POSSIBLE, that the Red's have a Rockies-esque August/September, they certainly have the talent necessary. But, given the performance of their rotation, I wouldn't hold my breath.

They are strong competitive team but they have some setbacks they are not giving up on the redlegs and they shouldn't they are only 6.5 games back of the brewers 5 games behind the cards and buccos 5 games below .500 will have to do better If they are going to make the playoffs but they are not the cubs so don't count them out.

Who thinks they're gonna make the playoffs? I think people that are sticking to that story are waiting for them to make that run....just like people are expecting the buccos to fall apart. The only argument i have for the reds is that their run differential is +25 which is 2nd best in the NL Central.

However, we're over 100 games into the season. I would say at this point we have a good idea of how good the teams are. It's a 3 team race between the cards, brewcrew and buccos. Plain and simple.

Who knows? People in general or Red's fans?

Baseball history itself is full of amazing comebacks. A very famous Giant team back in 1951, came back from a 13 1/2 game deficit on August 7th. to win the The National League championship.

Idk people are stupid. The baseball commentators are saying that to be nice and probably get paid to say that. I don't think they are in the race at all.
