My cat has constant diarrhea-very frustrating?

My cat is 12yrs old. I just picked her up from the vet after 5 days on IV's, medication, blood tests-showing white blood cell count high and anemic. Her fecal tests showed no giardia or worms. She is home and I guess I need a kennel to keep her in-the play pen isn't working-she just jumps out and poops all over the house. The vet bill is enormous, I am doing everything I can. She has lost weight-7.5lbs-used to be 11-12 lbs before this. I can't think of anything she might have eaten that was poisonous. I am at a loss and I can't keep going back to the vet. What would you do? She is a very sweet female cat. I really can't spend much more, I am out of work and single older person. Yes, she is on special food, antibiotics, anti-diarrhea meds-everything. What should I do? any suggestions?

Try calling the vet and asking-if you have an awesome vet like I do, they will be happy to help as much as possible without you having to bring her in and spend money. Did she have the diarrhea before you brought her in? It could be a reaction to the antibiotic, or from all the iv fluids. I would definitely call the vet though and ask for suggestions.

My cat did the same thing. Turns out she was allergic to grain in most dry foods. Allergies can pop up at any age. Have you tried feeding her different types of food? Also, another one of my cats started puking a bunch over a course of a few days. I couldn't figure it out, until I caught him in the act eating on of my hanging houseplants that I had prior to having a cat. Any new plants or behaviors like my cat?
