Will cutting out the carbs help me loose weight faster?

Okay so i'm an athlete and eat pretty healthy i've currently lost alot of weight but over the past 2 months i wasn't watching as much and i've gained some weight.. not alot.. i just dont feel as "fit" as i use to. My mom said since i'm not training right now (i skatte) i take a month off... that cutting out the carbs i eat might help me loose it a little faster.. Oh course i wont cut them ALL out.. but like instead of having oatmeal EVERY morning have it only 3 times a week. and have more eggs and more veggies? Less sandwhiches and more salads? less protein bars (i only eat lara bars which are all natural) only maybe a couple times a week and switch snacks to... fruit yogurt veggies etc??

yes! if you eat few enough carbs, your body will go into ketosis.

because your body uses carbs for energy, by you not having as many carbs, your body will turn to your fat storage as energy

you should avoid any sugar or starches period, if trying to lose weight. if you have a lot of weight to lose you should do the tkins diet by the book. if you only need to lose a little, you will probably get good results from eating nothing but meat and vegetables.(excluding high starch veggies.) once you have reached your goal weight. continue to eat only meat and veggies, but you will be able to have a couple servings of fresh fruit a day. this is basically the lifetime maintenance phase of atkins.

also, dont listen to the people who say low carb is a crash diet or that it is unhealthy. these people have obviously never read the atkins book. every test of my blood chemistry showed dramatic improvement in 2 months of starting it. if followed correctly , it is very healthy. people just hear about the first phase and think that it is the whole diet, when it actually only lasts 2 weeks.

Yes but beware that low carb diets are best for temporary weight loss, and that in the long term both low fat and low carb diets pan out pretty much the same - only low carb diets have a higher "failure" rate from them being too difficult to follow. IT's also not quite clear if it's actually healthy - there's a lot of debate on this at the moment.

Yes. Just watch the cholesterol and fats.
