Difference between rocket launcher and RPG?

What's the difference between a rocket from a rocket launcher and a rocket-propelled grenade?

    You answered your own question. A rocket is a rocket and a rocket propelled grenade is a grenade propelled by a rocket. They both have the same function, they are both (generally) explosives intended to debilitate armored vehicles or entrenched/ fortified positions.

    The rocket on the RPG does not fire until after the projectile has left the launcher. In a rocket launcher it is rocket powered from launch.
