Dell Dimension 8400 won't turn on?
I just did a fresh re-install of my Dell Dimension 8400 last night. The computer ran good. I figured it was late and I needed some sleep, so I turned the computer off. This morning I went to turn the computer on. When I pushed the power button and nothing. No lights, sounds or anything. The surge Protector was on and I checked a few other things but I can't figure what went wrong. Are there any tests a person can do at home to diagnose this computer ?

Could be power supply. open case and see if it has a reset button.
if that doesn't work try a new RAM stick. just find one from a friend.
only use that one not yours. take them out and replace with borrowed one
if that works then get new RAM. if not I'm pretty sure it's the mobo that's died

Power supply or motherboard are toast. Crack it open and look for bulging/leaking capacitors.
