Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Do you find it frustrating when somebody deletes a question before you can finishing answering it?

Additional information: Whenever this happens, it goes to a page that says Yahoo Answers is currently unavailable. What's up with that? Why can't they just tell us that the question has been deleted?

It is indeed frustrating, especially when you've just composed a thoughtful answer. When that happens, I usually use the back-arrow to return to the compose answer page, and copy my answer. Then I paste it onto my notepad and save it.

    Then I forget it's there.

Well, I'm not the only one who is put out with the folks trying to run this place!!

I often wonder why a question has been deleted too. It's usually not a bad question, so I'm like, "WHY??"

The person in charge might be able to tell us more, but I seriously wonder if there really IS a person in charge.

I do think there are too many questions being deleted. This did not used to happen. I guess it is just too easy for questions to be deleted.

    Yes, I do!

Occasionally when it sends you to the "Y!A is currently unavailable" page, your answer was posted anyway.

Not always. Frequently, it's a really offensive or stupid question.
