You're raising your children as Pagans?
Why do people ask this? If you say your Christian, Jewish, Muslim or any other religion no one askes wether or not you are teaching your children about your chosen faith. Why shouldn't Pagan parents teach there children about Pagan beliefs?
I am raising my kids as Pagans. I want to know why people think that I shouldn't.

Since I am a pagan too, I naturally see nothing wrong at all with you raising your children with an understanding and respect for your faith. I'd say odds are that they'll get a better education in theology than most kids do and will have a healthy respect for all people's beliefs not just yours.

I don't think it is anybodies business how you raise your Children, but... i am uncertain what it means to raise a child as Pagan. I feel this is such a broad term, but i suppose you are teaching them the fundamentals of a particular belief system, or just to have an understanding of pagan beliefs in general? It is great to 'teach', but any form of indoctrination, i have a problem with. I don't think at all that you shouldn't raise your Kid's any way you see fit. But i don't know what your own chosen path or faith is. I think, and i have experience of this..that it is a mistake to place expectations upon our Children regarding their spiritual or religious beliefs.

Hmm.
Let me guess. You were raised religious, and it wasn't Pagan, was it? See how effective it is!
Part of the misunderstanding here is that some people lump all forms of Paganism together. For example, Wicca includes a call to service that no child can be trained to have...if the gods want a kid Wiccan, the gods will see to it, not the parents.
People assume that since we believe that only people who can come into a religion with an understanding of the religion should be considered as members, that counts for all Pagans...and it doesn't.
Raise your kid how you want, but go into a question about atheism, or even Paganism, and see how many people begin with "I was raised Christian, and I..."
There is a huge difference between raising your kid with your values and claiming your kid is a member of a religion s/he probably has no clue about.

I think as long as you remain open to the idea that your kids may choose another religion when they get old enough to start exploring religions on their own, there's nothing wrong with introducing your children to your personal faith. I plan on raising my children as Pagans when I have them, but will also encourage them to seek out the faith that best suits them rather than insisting that they remain Pagan. I see nothing wrong with sharing my religion with my children, but I don't believe in indoctrinating them. When it comes to teaching religion, I think the number one priority should be teaching tolerance of all religions over teaching specifics of faith. I would love to end up with children who believe in my God and Goddess, but I will not force the issue.
