Theist; why can't you understand history?
Theistic beliefs develops alongside civilizations. isn't it? it's not the imposing hands of god, as you wish to call it, sprung the idea of that god.

It is more accurate to say that theistic beliefs have always existed with people. There is no evidence of a society originating absent belief, and then creating a theistic system of religion.
Perhaps you ought to brush up on your ancient history. Even a secular historian (such as Karen Armstong in her book "Evolution of God") would agree that belief supercedes social structure

Actually, we're very well known in my faith for our nearly obsessive study of history. We're also well known for our academic scholarship in a variety of subjects, including history, and have even been known to learn entire languages for the express purpose of studying our history and our ancestors. I only started studying Arabic so I could read Ibrahim ibn Jakub's writings on my ancestors as the Muslims did not try to put their faith over ours as the Christians did (most notably Snorri Sturluson), they merely observed what we were up to and wrote it down. So it's not "theists" who do not understand or value or even acknowledge aspects of history, it is /some/ sects of /some/ religions and even then it is only /some/ of them.
