yes, that's a good article but you have to continue to read the next articles where it will explain if God is responsible for Natural Disasters.

God is not causing the earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, droughts, and volcanic eruptions that are so often in today’s news. He is not using these to bring punishment on certain peoples. To a large extent, these are caused by natural forces that have been operating since the earth’s creation.

The Bible foretold great earthquakes and food shortages for our day, but that does not mean that either God or Jesus is responsible for them, any more than a meteorologist is responsible for the weather that he forecasts. Because these are occurring along with all the other things foretold in the composite sign of the conclusion of this system of things, they are part of the evidence that the blessings of God’s Kingdom are near.—Luke 21:11, 31.

Humans often bear heavy responsibility for harm done. In what way? Even when given ample warning, many people refuse to get out of the danger area or fail to take needed precautions.—Prov. 22:3; compare Matthew 24:37-39.

In the sense that God (the creator) created everything. The way everything runs is not perfect. When you think about the Earth and it's molten iron core, and the tectonic plates, and the fact that they are bound to move, and the atmosphere, and the way it responds to its natural rules, and the ocean and the sun and all that stuff... he created it as a fluid and changing thing, so he could evolve it. But he doesn't inflict natural disasters on people because he is punishing people, no, that's not it.

And you should use your spell check. When the word is underlined in red, you go over to the side and click on the spell check thing and it will open up a screen where you can choose a more likely way to spell the word you are spelling incorrectly. That way you can learn to spell more words. Do you see you some people focus right in on your misspelling and don't even answer the question? You don't want that. It is not good. I'll bet there are no misspellings in The Watchtower.

If God created the world, then He made it as it is. One can argue that since man disobeyed God and thrown out of Eden (original sin), that we lost the protection of God to ensure natural tranquility.

If you think about it, natural disasters are of course disasters for human populations, but they are actually part of the mechanics of this planet. Logically of course, if God designed the world this way then natural disasters are part of the design.

Yes you are correct that they are viewed as Divine Punishment.

Only when He first sends a prophet with a specific prediction warning of the consequences if people do not repent, as in the case of Noah.

But do know, these are the prophesied 'Last Days' and we have been warned. But I wouldn't put all such cases on his shoulders, the evil one has powers here upon Earth as well, not to mention the plain laws of nature that act without regard to man or beast.

I have heard it said however that the recent Earthquake on our East Coast and maybe even the coming hurricane aren't acts of God. . . . they are our American forefathers turning over in their graves as they see how Obama is abusing his privileges.

From 2 Cor 4:4, we are told that Lucifer is the god of this world. This power once belong to Adam but was given to Lucifer in exchange for the information that they could like gods enjoying the heavens and knowing evil enjoyment. During the time of Jesus ministry, Lucifer was able to introduce a storm while Jesus was asleep in a boat. When Jesus died on the cross, Lucifer's happiness was felt with that shaking of the earth just like the shaking of the east coast of United States today. When the righteous were given a safe place by Yahweh, the end result was always by destruction as with the flood during Noah's time, the burning of Sodom, and after the rapture, the days of Tribulations.

Source(s): 2 Cor 4:4 - In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

organic mess ups are the end results of a fallen international, exceedingly a submit-flood fallen international. The flood of Noah brought about the variety of meteorological upheaval that it delivered approximately situations that ought to spawn hurricanes, tornadoes, great rainfalls maximum efficient to floods, to boot as a results of fact the temperate extremes by way of the earth. additionally the flood delivered a pair of great re-moving of the earth's shape which delivered relating to the possibility of earthquakes a tidal waves. All of those mess ups function on a cyclical foundation and are maximum no longer particularly the end results of divine intervention, in spite of the indisputable fact that God ought to intervene if He wanted. situations such as a results of fact the hurricane Jonah became caught in have been probable extra a results of providential timing in accordance to divine foreknowledge of the progression to return. organic mess ups are in simple terms that - organic. And are as lots a factor of the rhythmic cycle of issues as a results of fact the changing of the seasons.

Probably as much as He is responsible for Evolution. He just got things going. After awhile, things began to take on a life of their own.
