Two women, a couple, were at the beach and were seen by the virtue police kissing and they were arrested, beaten, and sentenced to 2 months in prison before being deported and banned from returning to the country!

Because of the international outrage, Saudi Arabia now has many signs in many languages warning tourists that they will be arrested, beaten, and imprisoned at the drop of a hat..

Swimming and diving. Swimming is allowed on various public beaches along the Gulf Street. Women in swimwear are rare and might offend locals. The beach resorts as Radisson SAS and Palms offer beaches to both genders but will charge. Many of the big hotels and spas have reasonably sized pools.

p.s. Saying "Well, they have WOMEN ONLY areas where they can wear what they like" is NOT affording them equal rights. If Muslim Men are so barbaric that they can't cope with seeing a little skin, they are animals and should be put down for the safety of the public.

It's no wonder that Rape Rates in Muslim Countries, the rape of boys, men, girls, and women, is SHOCKINGLY high... And if a boy/man goes to the cops, there's a high likelihood the cops will charge the VICTIM with "Homosexual Acts", even though it was nonconsensual sex. Women? You're FAR more likely to be beaten, imprisoned, or even murdered than actually have the rapist(s) punished because what were you doing out of the house and not on a leash in the first place? Recently a 14 year old girl was raped then murdered because they charged her with "Adultery".

Oh, and in Islam, you can't rape your wife... So beat her until she's unconscious and rape her body all you want, it's your right as her husband.

Melbourne, Jan 24 : Beleaguered cleric Abu Hamza came under fire again for his radical views on rape when his website claimed that Muslim wives could laugh off unwanted sex and rape could be confused with simply having a pushy husband.

In response to the sex-on-demand and wife smacking controversy sparked by Hamza's lectures, his Islamic Information and Services Network of Australasia website published an article saying the media had no right to question his marital teachings.

But the article on Hamza's IISNA website suggested a Muslim wife could choose to "laugh off'" sex without consent or that spousal rape was hard to define and could just be a case of being married to a "pushy husband".

NEVER judge a culture or people based on the actions/beliefs of the extremists... Judge them on the behaviors and beliefs of the common wo/man, and judging by the accepted morals, laws, and actions of the Common Muslim, it's as much a religion of peace as Nazi Germany was.

Well, I was at a local lake and two young Muslim families (Mom and Dad, kids) arrived. I was curious about this too, so I observed. I am very interested in all cultures, I grew up abroad. The two moms actually did not have the typical foot wear on. Womens dress is supposed to cover ankles, feet, etc. so therefore the typical footwear are socks or nylon socks, and shoes. They had no socks just sandals on, so they were showing their skin. They had the hijab and their body was covered to the ankles though. They didn't go swimming, but went in about a foot deep, and very carefully pulled their dresses up to where the water met one foot up their calves. You couldn't see any skin. They probably figured if their skin is under water, it's not a sin. This was liberal, and I don't think many Muslim women (in other parts of the world) would dare do this!

I had a holiday in Malaysia, which is an Islamic country. The local girls on the beach wore shorts and T-shirts to swim in the sea. I only saw one person in a burkini, it was an 8 yr old girl in a hotel swimming pool. Obviously her silly muslim dad was making her wear it, gross and sad.

i have seen one on the beach in italy - they wear longs sleeves long shirt and pants. i mean - if a woman wears any clothes in water she is gonna look naked anyway, so how is it called being covered fails my understanding. but i think it is pretty uncomfortable - to wear wet clothes. also there was a discussion in a newspaper once (i live in white people country)- why should those coloured beatches wear clothes in a swimming pool - isn't it unhygienic?

Well in advanced arab countries there are many public pools that is only for WOMAN . In Lebanon theres a beach that is only for woman . A country than another would differ in Saudia its really stricked there , but let say if you would go to the Eimartes for a vist you would see that a woman has all her rights and that she is highly respected and there is a lot of entertaing place's that are only made for woman . ( if you were in the beach and a guy was checking out your girl how would you feel o.0 , but when you have a woman that is only yours and is for you to pamper you and take care of you , it just feels great ) .

Yes they are still covered they say it's there law and that is how they have to be it's funny
