why does a ton of people think that tigers would be horrible pets?
I can't think of any time that I have ever actually heard a tiger killing some one, like there owner when they are socialized.
I think that tigers are cool and I would like to have one when I am 18 and I have a house of my own. they are my favorite animal that ever lived... well except for a saber tooth tiger but those are no longer living.
So I have no problem with a pet tiger what so ever.

First, you would need a special permit for an exotic animal, and you're not likely to get one. Tigers are wild animals even if raised in captivity.
You haven't heard of a tiger killing its owner? And have "no problem with a pet tiger"? Here ya go:
1. "An Ontario man known for keeping exotic pets on his property was found mauled to death by a pet tiger Sunday, police told CBC News.
Norman Buwalda, 66, who fought with his Southwold neighbors for years to keep the animals, was attacked and killed by the 650-pound tiger when he entered the animal’s cage to feed it, Ontario Provincial Police Const. Troy Carlson said.
“We don’t know what actually took place because no one witnessed it, but the tiger ended up attacking him and killing him,” Carlson told CBC. http://www.nydailynews.com/lifestyle/pets/2010/01/...

2. "NEWBERRY, Fla. - A Maine native who owned a rare white Bengal
tiger was killed by her pet six weeks after the animal fatally attacked its trainer.
Doris Guay, who moved to Florida from Biddeford, Maine, was leading
3-year-old Jupiter back into Xits pen Nov. 13 when she began to hand-feed chicken necks to the tiger.
That's when the cat lunged without warning and bit her neck, authorities said. Paramedics said she died instantly.
''This was a completely unprovoked attack,'' said Alachua County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Jim Troiano.
The cat was then shot to death by the Alachua County Sheriff's Office
SWAT Team. http://www.igorilla.com/gorilla/animal/White_tiger...

First tigers are still dangerous animals whether or not you heard of them killing some one. They're wild animals that aren't meant to be domesticated. Even people who have had chimpanzees have been attacked. Also, they are large animals that need lots of room to live and a way to get outdoors. Neighbors would most likely complain b/c it is a safety hazard to everyone around the animal. Plus they're endangered animals and you cannot buy them. You could probably interact with them if you got a job at an animal sanctuary. I don't recommend getting one, even under your circumstances and you don't seem responsible enough or have the right info.

Have you ever watch Fatal Attractions on Animal Planet? You think you would be able to control a 700+ pound tiger?

Most people are smart enough to not bring a huge, carnivorous wild animal into a residential area in the first place. Wild animals in general are too unpredictable, destructive, and dangerous for the average person to handle, and that's even when the animal isn't big enough to effortlessly bite off a human's head.

Sure. Here's a website about having them as pets that you could look at :)
http://www.exoticcatz.com/speciestiger.html
Here are some general requirements http://www.wildaboutcats.org/require.htm
Finally, I hope you get a great job when you turn 18 - it will cost thousands and thousands of dollars to keep one. Just to adopt one it costs $13,400 - this doesn't even include the enclosure you will have to buy it, vet care, etc. However, if you decide it is for you http://www.buytigers.com/

You don't hear about people getting killed by tigers because most people have the sense to stay away from them.
