Why didn't Jesus resurrect people to Heaven?

He resurrected hundreds of people, but he always brought them back to earth to live out their lives (aka to get old, sick and eventually die AGAIN). Why didn't he just leave them in heaven where they were obviously enjoying their eternal reward (in the case of Lazarus, who was Jesus' best friend, he must have had it MADE up there -- but oh no, Jesus had to drag his tushy back).

Why would Jesus do this, if we are meant to go to Heaven?

Update:

Robert: Are you saying that Lazarus rejected God's gift?

Update 2:

Crazyworld : The Bible. Please don't make me post a long series of verses for you. Not only did Jesus resurrect many, but also his disciples.

Update 3:

Trey: After Jesus died, his apostles kept on resurrectin.

Update 4:

Loosey, you're awesome and you don't need no stinkin thumbs!

Star jumper, people are automatically resurrected to heaven when they put aside their

earthly bodies. I have read several books about people that have died and visited heaven for a few moments before being told they still had work to do on earth. None were frightened

and most of them did not want to come back to earth

2 of the books were written by cardiologists who had numerous patients die

but later were able to revive them. Not all persons had conscious NDE experiences.

It said that none of the people, who had to return to normal life, feared death

Hey bud, I'm glad you made this question. Many people are taught that when we die we go to Heaven (If we were good) or go to Hell (If we were bad) Well truth is that we were made to live upon the earth forever. Now there are Biblical scriptures that actually support this. Psalms 37:29 says: "The righteous ones themselves will posses the earth. And they will reside forever upon it." In the book of Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 says: "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. All that your hands finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising now knowledge nor wisdom in She'ol, the place to which you are going." In the Bible the word she'ol means common grave. It's incredible how the Bible has the answers to so many of our questions. At least all my questions have been answered with my own Bible. I'm currently studying the Bible with the Jehovah's Witnesses. And I can tell you that they are not a cult and they don't make up their own Bible. People have such a bad opinion about them, I had a bad opinion about them as well and when I actually gave them a chance and heard them, they prove things to me with my own Bible. Its amazing waht the awaits for us in the future. Hope I answered your question and have a great day ! :)

Lazarus was not resurrected Christ brought him and other back to life and yes they did die again. Christ was the first-fruits of the resurrection and the ones that were resurrected after he was the old saints they never remained here. There is a big difference. a resurrected person does not have blood in their veins they have pure spirit. as we all will when the time comes. Lazarus was just brought back to life to show the power of God. www.mormon.org

That story always reminds me of the rich man and Lazarus of the OT. Its as though the Lord granted the rich man's request to send Lazarus back, so his brothers could believe. But it only proved Abraham right - though a man would return from the grave, they would not believe.

Because in a heaven should be for everyone but it ain't because jesus died on a cross at a price to save all our sins(imagine you have to carry 1,milliion bags full of bricks) thats what it's like jesus had to carry on our sins with him on the cross- But all the people that go heaven after the 2nd coming will stay there

no one could go to heaven before JC made the final sacrifice so when he performed his miracles he left them to live their lives on the earth. now the bible says that when Jc was resurrcted and ascended HE did in fact take the dead that were beleivers to heaven. this can be seen whith the parable of the rich man and the poor man when we see the poor man being carried to heaven by Abraham. please study the bible for GOd and his son are real.

P.S. could u provide scripture to support that claim cuz i dont recall reading that? who resurrected anyone after JC ascended? I remember the day of pentecost spoke of in ACTS but i dont recall anyone being resurrected by the disciples at atll. I do howeer remember reading that JC told them they they too would be able to do those same miracles and more if they believed in HIM and when the holy ghost (the gift) would be given unto men

Who are these 100's ? Where is your information from?

If you saw heaven, and we're committed to doing God's will, if you returned to Earth would you sit qietly about your experience or would you tell others of the truth you know?

****I must ask you to provide a verse or anything to support your claim! You seem to misunderstand a bit! If I am wrong, please provide something I can refer to! Thank you! ***********

I put this question to the new Messiah (Tiger Woods) and his answer was

"You play the ball where it lies. Thems is the rules. Innit!"
