Does it ever snow in Thailand?

so, I am moving to Bangkok this year. I know it is really warm there, but does it/has it EVER get snow? At all?

    No, the Army will not let it snow in Thailand.

    To Weng and Spanish Frog: Just because a place is in the tropics does not mean that it never snows. It snows in Hawaii, Mt. Kilimanjaro, the mountains of Peru, etc. All are in the tropics. Tropics just means the area 23 degrees north and south of the equator; it does not imply climate.

    To answer your question, no, it never snows in Bangkok. It is always too hot and humid and at a very low elevation for snow to occur.

    It did many years ago at the top of Doi Inthanon, the highest peak in northern Thailand.

    Nope. But it sure rains a lot. It's too close to the Equator for snow.

    In January of 1955 it actually snowed in Chang Rai province.

    However, the north. from times to times, there are hailstorm! But no snow yet!
