To muslims: You say the Bible has been changed?
How has it been changed? What has been added and what has been removed? Be specific because I really want to know what has changed.
IVA: Nope, the Bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. It has been TRANSLATED into other languages. In translating, a linguist must find the best word(s) that fit the sentence. That is what happens- they translate the idea of the original into the best fitting in the translation. Oh yeah, this also occurs with the koran when translated into another language.
RNC: Did you know that the Jews had rules regarding the copying of the Torah? It was not given to just one person. There were many who copied the Torah. As they copied, they could only make three mistakes and then that copy was thrown out. The oldest copy we have is in the Dead Sea Scrolls. Do you know what has been found? That the OT we have right now is an almost 100% duplication. Oh and the NT that we have can be remade if all the 24.000 manuscripts disappeared right now from the writings of the early Church fathers.
To those claiming 6 additional books in their version, Catholics, the Jews knew the books you have added. They, however, did not use them officially. The one person to who I place more trust in is Jesus Himself. Never once did He quote from these other books. THIS is the reason those books are left out of the other Bibles. The early churches used the 66 books we have today.

The bible is in its original form. The Qur'an isn't...
Since Muhammad was reportedly illiterate, he would receive a revelation from the spirit, recite it to his people, and they would then copy the new bit of scripture down onto whatever scraps of material were available.....leather, papyrus, white stones, wood pieces, sheep bones, tree bark, etc. Within 15 years of Muhammad's death, there were as many as 24 different versions of the Qur'an in existence. When disagreements surfaced between Muslims over which version to follow, the Islamic leader at the time, Caliph Uthman, arbitrarily determined that the version created by Zaid ibn Thabit, Muhammad's secretary, would be the official version. Caliph Uthman ordered that all other versions of the Qur'an be destroyed, resulting in one version that is still in circulation today.

God is capable of keeping His written word, the Bible, from being changed.
Search "The Dead Sea Scrolls".
In 1949 a shepherd boy was searching for a lost goat. He threw a stone into a cave to see if the goat was in the cave and he heard a 'clink'. He went into the cave to see what had made the sound and he found clay jars containing scrolls. One of the scrolls was the complete book of Isaiah. It was word for word exactly like the Book of Isaiah we have in our Bibles today. These scrolls had been hidden in 70 A.D. for protection when Jerusalem was being destroyed by Rome.
When a scribe (sectretary) copied a scroll, if he made a mistake he destroyed the entire scroll and broke the pen and disposed of it. A copied scroll had to be perfect.
1) The Bible is inerrant in the original manuscripts.
2) God has preserved all essential doctrine.
That does make some allowances for minor copyist errors, but nothing that would impact the message and intent of God. For example, some ancient manuscripts have Goliath standing around 3 meters tall while others have him at only 2 meters. This discrepancy does not impact the message to any substantive degree.
Christians have is access to over 24000 copies of New Testament maniscripts; the earliest dating back to 50AD (the contemporary time of the original authorship). Any omissions, additions, changes and copiest errors are obvious in the light of the rest of the evidence. By simple analysis and comparison of these texts we can be confident that all essential doctrines have been preserved.
Until we found the dead sea scrolls, the most recent copy of the Old Testament we had was written in 916AD. The dead sea scrolls predate this text by over 1000 years, yet there are only a few minute copiest errors between the two. Nothing substantial enough to effect even the slightest doctrines. If such a remarkably high level of preservation is sustained over 1000 years is possible, then it is perfectly reasonable to assume that the same message could be preserved for the previous thousand or so years; especially if you add, as Christians do, the assumption that God is involved in doctrinal preservation.

Well, you could consider so, however this is the change among the Quran and the Bible... The Bible underwent many distinctive translations and revisions with out preserving the originals in tact. The Quran has additionally passed through many distinctive translations and revisions, nonetheless individuals who've labored at the translations have not ever altered the fashioned and so much incorporate the fashioned Arabic script together with the ones translations. Also, even though now not many humans use Classical Arabic at the moment, it is nonetheless a dwelling language. Aramaic, the language of Jesus (saws) died lengthy in the past, and we might best bet what languages the prophets earlier than him spoke. Although mainstream Christians may not admit to it, even many Christians agree that the Bible in use at present is not the fashioned Word of God, and the Catholic church in Europe has determined to not use it as a real account of old parties. Even if the Quran hadn't stated that the Bible were altered, I'd nonetheless discover adequate proof at present to come back to the belief that it has.

That is a lie someone has perpetrated. I have read the Bible through from cover to cover many times and could not recall any place where it says Jesus kissed anyone or thing but just to check my memory I searched the electronic Bible and my memory served me right. There is not one reference which states Jesus kissed...
Answerer 1 used excuse too much to sort through. Not in this age of computers and searchable Bibles on the internet. It took me less than 10 seconds to check EVERY verse in the Bible for such a passage.
NOT THERE!

Compare this 4th century bible:
http://www.codexsinaiticus.org/en/
to your current one.
There have been a lot of changes over the last 1600 years. Some minor, some major.
If you can't be bothered to actually read it - Mark 16: 9-20 is missing from this and other early bibles.
But I fail to see why inconsistencies in one book of mythology would make another book of mythology more valid. The Koran clearly says that the moon shines with it's own light, that mountains are there to hold the Earth still, that stars are missiles ready to be thrown at djinn (demons), and has plenty of other ridiculous statements. The fact that it was produced at a date closer to the advent of printing - and so the mass production of books, making it much harder to change texts - does not in any way make it more valid.

It's not just Muslims. I, as a Catholic, say this too. The original canonization of the holy book had 72 books in it. Many bibles now have 66, like NIV and JKV. The Catholic Church canonized these books, stating they were inspired by God through the Holy Spirit. King James, Luther, Calvin, Joseph Smith, etc. all changed the Bible.

there were 24000 manuscripts of bible, out of which only 30 were edited by christian missionaries.who gave them that authority. There are various scientific errors in bible such as in Genesis 11:1-9
The Tower of Babel
1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech.
2 As men moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.
3 They said to each other, "Come, let's make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar.
4 Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth."
5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building.
6 The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.
7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
8 So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.
9 That is why it was called Babel —because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.
There few important points to mention here:
1- Not only these verses are seriously very insulting to Allah Almighty because they present Him as a GOD who feared men, but they also reveal a very serious scientific blunder through suggesting that the earth is both flat and sitting still in the universe, something that is quite contrary to what the Holy Quran teaches.
2- The verses also demonstrate the Bible's gross ignorance about the Universe. Even if the Babylonians were able to build a sky scrapper, as we have hundreds, if not thousands, of them today worldwide, that went beyond the clouds, then how would that be of any threat to Allah Almighty? And again, the false verses are portraying Allah Almighty as a GOD who fears man! Compare these falsehoods to the Scientific links below that demonstrate the Holy Quran's Divine and True Scientific Miracles and accuracy.
Genesis 11 is also is ignorant about lack of Oxygen in space, the vastness of space and the impossibility to reach GOD Almighty, and the impossibility to reach outer space without space protection. Otherwise, your body would burst! Plus, again, you would suffocate to death anyway due to the lack of oxygen.

Song of Songs 8:1-3 "If only you were to me like a brother, who was nursed at my mother's breasts! Then, if I found you outside, I would kiss you, and no one would despise me. I would lead you and bring you to my mother's house-- she who has taught me. I would give you spiced wine to drink [i.e., her vagina's semen!], the nectar of my pomegranates. His left arm is under my head and his right arm embraces me."
She wished if he were her brother so that she wouldn't have to take him home in secret. Now if he were truly her husband, then what would prompt her to wish that he was her brother? Were husbands back then not allowed to live with their wives? If so, how did they then consummate and have children and raise generations and societies?.
there are many more scientific errors and contradictions. there are many x-rated verses against prophets of god but i think this must be . how can a god's book have even 1 contradiction

Hi there
The example
Look at the 1 John 5:8. Christian scholars are in agreement that words have been added. Look at the differences between King James version and say the NIV. The former has words added to try and justify the trinity. We can speak more on this by email if you like.
edit...here is a good reference which shows various words that have been inserted or eliminated

The bible has been re-written to serve the kings interest at that time. When I was in the Military they gave me a camouflage bible that I compared to a King James and the two were distinctly different in the wording in hopes of us reading the military one to justify the Americans occupation of the world. Of course I didn't buy that one second.

Not muslim but. If you look in the bible (and I cannot be bothered finding which passage it is in that lump of badly-written fiction) you'll find a passage that says "Jesus kissed Mary Madeline on the." It just stops, like someone did a really really bad edit.
Edit: Rene O, the bible is most certainly not in its original form. 700 years after the death of Jesus (what is it with you people and worshipping this Mexican) the catholic church edited it to make it "purer". It's theorised that they still have the original texts in the Vatican.
