Is there proof that the Abrahamic and Davidic Covenants have been fufilled?
Genesis 12:1-3 El Shaddai [God] initiated His covenant with Abram when he was living in Ur of the Chaldeans, promising land, descendants, and a world-wide blessing.
Genesis 12:4, 5 Abram went with his family to Haran, lived there until he left at the age of 75 for the land of Canaan with his wife and nephew Lot
Genesis 13:14-17 Lot and Abram separate; God again promises the land to Abram and his descendants
Genesis 15:1-21 The Covenant is ratified when God passes between the three kinds of animals that Abram sacrificed and laid before El Shaddai.
Genesis 17:1-27 When Abram is 99 the covenant is renewed and his name is changed from Abram [exalted father] to Abraham [father of a multitude]. God promises a son by Sarah through whom the covenant will extend. The sign of the covenant as circumcision is established for all males from the 8th day of birth.
Genesis 22:15-18 The Binding of Isaac: confirmation of the covenant through Abraham's obedience: "and in your descendants all the nations of the earth shall find blessing..." www.agapebiblestudy.com
House. The first promise deals with David’s house (physical descendants).David’s own son would sit on his throne as king of Israel after his death: And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thine own body (2 Sam. 7:12). David’s son Solomon was God’s choice to succeed David as king (1 Ki. 1:30).
Temple. The second promise deals with the temple David wanted to build for God. David would not be allowed to build it; but his son Solomon would: “He shall build an house for my name” (2 Sam. 7:13).
Throne. The third promise deals with the throne (royal authority) of David and Solomon. God said, “I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever (2Sam. 7:13, cf. v. 16). The promise is that Solomon’s throne, not his seed, would be established forever. Christ did not come through Solomon’s line, which was cutoff at Coniah (Jeconiah). God said of Coniah, “No man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah” (Jer. 22:30). friends of israel website
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhat proof is there that the Church has replaced Israel?
Zecariah 2:8 For thus says the LORD of hosts, "After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye. " The you referred to here is Israel. Zec 2:12 explains this The LORD will [fn]possess Judah as His portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.
Why is it that Israel and the people are the ones dealt with in Rev 4-19 and NOT the Church? The Church is mentioned in Rev 1-4 then not again until 19-21.

How has it been changed? What has been added and what has been removed? Be specific because I really want to know what has changed.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWho is the "rock" of Christian faith:?
Jesus- Ps 18:2The LORD is my [fn]rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Jesus is the Lord, therefore the rock. Eph 2:20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, Jesus is cornerstone- that upon which the rest of the building is built. John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah. [fn] You shall be called Cephas" (which is translated, A Stone). The name of Peter, in Greek, is Petros meaning "a stone." The word, in Greek, for rock is petras- rock or foundation. Greek is very specific in choice of words. There is a difference in the two words. A stone is not a rock. I refer back to Psalm 18 in which Daid calls the Lord his "rock." To me, this means it is Jesus who is the rock, not Peter.
Or Peter, several verses later being told to "get behind me satan." And the same one to deny Christ three times. Peter, however, IS a stone from the ROCK of Christ. Nature similar but is NOT the Rock.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCatechism of Catholicism...?
Does the Church truly deny that the sacrifice of Christ is NOT sufficient to cleanse us of our sins? ReallY?? This is what it says in paragraph 1030 of the 1997 Catholic Catechism. I am shocked. Jesus is my savior and there is nothing I can do to gain entrance to heaven. The church fathers never used the apochrypha from which the belief of purgatory comes from. Jesus never quoted these, either.
I was born and raised Catholic. I have entered into a personal relationship with Christ and want to extend this to my Catholic family. I never read our Catechism before but I think I will now. I want to find out what I believed from the priests/Vatican and what scripture actually says about it. I do not read the apochryphal books and because they were not included in the first councils of our faith, I will not use them for my doctrine of beliefs.

17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan Muslims please answer this question?
Jesus said in John 10:30 I and My Father are one. Can you refute this answer when your holy book says that those that came before is true. Please do not give me the whole "since the koran came after the Bible that koran supplants the Bible and its teachings." The koran already said that what was written in the Bible was true. That is all we need to know. That means that this verse is true and in this one verse, we have confirmation of the Father and Son.

our founding Father's used for the separation of power? There is one verse in the Bible that was used to designate the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of our government, thus confirming that our country was founded upon Biblical values.

5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDid you know that the koran refers to Yeshua Hammashiach as the "Word of God" 7 times?
And at the beginning of the Gospel of John, John refers to Yeshua as the Word, how the Word was with God and the Word was God and that the Word came to this earth. The koran also states that all that was written prior to it, the Bible and the OT of the Jews, were all TRUE!!! That all that was written was true! 96 times Yeshua is refered to, mohammed only a few. Koran says Yeshua was born to a virgin and that He will come again to judge all people. So, to my reading, the koran verifies all that was written in the Bible, or am I wrong?
