Is it hard to transfer to university of texas?
i go to texas a&m and i do NOT like it. even though it's only been three weeks, i have my heart set on transferring to ut. i'm a freshman and am going to apply in january after i've been enrolled for the remaining 15 hours that i need. is it difficult to transfer to ut? i'm in general studies at a&m and probably will transfer into the education school or something at ut. thanks

Didn't transfer to UT, about to graduate from A&M, and couldn't imagine life anywhere else! Best university in the world. Gig 'em.

All you can do is apply, and not burn bridges at TAMU because it may not happen.
2 highly competitive schools - no guarantees even if you have 4.0 this first semester.

It's a little harder to get in as transfer student than as a freshman at UT-Austin. You'll need to complete 30 credit hours to transfer, so if you apply in January for next year, you should be fine. Check the UT-Austin website under "admissions" and it will tell you what you need.
