Dog throwing up but seems fine otherwise?
My aussie-mix (about 6 months old) has thrown up twice. The first time was at, roughly, 1:30 AM. The vomit was yellow liquid but not foamy. He had not eaten since 3PM when I fed him his lunch. After some investigating I found that he had not been fed dinner and wondered if he threw up because he was hungry?
The second time he threw up was at about 7:00AM and not long after I had fed him his breakfast. The vomit this time was some of the yellow stuff mixed with full pieces of his kibble.
My dog is fed 3 cups of kibble (Diamond Naturals Beef Meal & Rice) a day, if that helps anything, and he gets water too (naturally.)
He seems fine other than him having thrown up? Should I be worried?
He gets fed 3 meals a day and we're moving to a 2 meal a day schedule now that he's at a healthy weight (when we got him he was really skinny and we fed him in intervals so he would put on weight but not bloat.) His normal feeding schedule is breakfast at 6:30AM, lunch at 12:30PM and dinner at 6:30PM.
The vomit didn't smell - the first vomit didn't smell at all, and the second wave just smelled like his kibble. No blood. I'm giving him more water, now.
I gave him 1/3 a cup of kibble to see if he could hold it down and he's held it down so far. He's not drinking as much water as I'd like but I managed to coax him into drinking a bowl-full. He is peeing fine, no struggles and I know he took a BM this morning but I didn't see the consistency. I'll be watching his next one to be sure all looks normal.

If he seems to be fine except the vomitting, try to hydrate him and let him rest. If this will continue tomorrow or the dog will seem to get worse, you should see vet.

Ok first off never ever give a dog cat food. Secondly if your dog has been eating that food for most of her life this problem has nothing to do with her not liking it. She's trying you on. You can change her diet and she'l probably eat the new stuff but sooner or later she'l go off that too. You need to show her who's boss and train her that what you give her is what she must eat. However only follow these steps if you 100% sure her health has nothing to do with it. Put the food down and leave it for half an hour. If she doesn't eat it, take it away feed her again later in the day and do the same thing. Do not give her any other type of food. Don't mix anything in with it. Do this for a maximum of 3 days. If you feed a dry food only, you could try leaving it out over the whole day. I had to this with my dog, it's really hard but it works. It'l break your heart, your dog will try every sad look she has to convince you she doesn't like the food your giving her. But just remember these important notes: If she's not eating, she's obviously not hungry. There is no such thing as a fussy dog. There has never been a case in history of a dog starving it's self to death because it didn't "like" what it's owner fed it. My dog eats whatever I give him now, he is healthy and he is happy and that is very important to me. Good luck

Dogs throw up until they get rid of what's bothering their stomach.
The liquid vomit in the middle of the night was stomach fluids and digested food.
The undigested kibble came up with more of the liquid.
If he's acting fine otherwise, and is drinking and peeing, I wouldn't worry at this time.
If the vomit is foul smelling or has blood in it, I'd take the dog to the vet.
Dogs don't tend to throw up if not fed one meal.
I'd wait for supper and offer him a small amount of kibble. If he keeps it down an hour, you can offer him some more.
If the vomiting doesn't stop by tomorrow, I'd take him to the vet as a safeguard. -!-

It could be down to his empty stomach, although sometimes vomiting bile can be an indication of a upset digestive system.
You should be feeding him twice, breakfast at around 7 - 7.30 and tea no later than 5 pm. Some underweight puppies still need a lunch at this age. You might try adding some natural yogurt to his food, and often an antacid (we use Gaviscon in the UK) last thing can help early morning bile vomiting.
If this persists, see a vet.
ps Make sure you dog gets fed regularly in future!!

If he can keep down water then throwing up twice is not a huge deal. You can try feeding him again and if he throws up again don't feed him anymore dog food, try making some chicken and rice for him to eat. Use unseasoned chicken like canned chicken, if you're not sure you can boil the chicken for a few minutes to help release any seasonings inside it. Start by feeding small amounts of the food, like 2 spoonfulls, wait 30 minutes, if he hasn't thrown up feed him some more again in small amounts. It takes much longer to starve than it does to dehydrate, keeping fluids down at this point is your number one concern. If the vomiting continues or he's not able to keep down water go to the vet. They can give him an exam as well as medicine for his stomach and fluids if need be.
Good luck, hope this helps!

It could be caused by the food, or if he got into something.
Canned pumpkin helps with diarrhea and vomiting.
If not, then go to the vet.
