How is this a coincidence?
I would like to know how God can not exist when various religions believe in relatively the same God and have basically the same history and be spred over different time periods and locations. For example Islam and Christianity. They both believe that God created Adam and Eve and in the angel Gabriel. Did the same person write both books and just happen to lie about it? Or am I just off on my information?

God only exists in a book. Oh and the religion Christianity was created first then Islam so someone must have read the book in the middle east and decided that the Adam and eve crap was correct.

Religions *don't* believe in "relatively the same god," and they *don't* have "basically the same history."
Yes, you're just off on your information.
And even if you weren't, that would only be evidence that people "believed" some similar things -- not that any god exists.
You do know that Islam came from the same region as Judaism and Christianity, and incorporated many of their ideas into its mythology, right?
Peace.

Thats a really bad example, but I get your point.
It would seem as though all religions have the right idea with having a 'god', but don't let it sidetrack you. The biblical God and all other gods are completely different. Even the Islamic and Chrisitan Gods. They have different personalities and did different things with their power.

Christianity, Islam and Judaism are all Aramaic religions that are based on judaism. In fact Christianity and Islam are offshoots of Judaism. They branched off and grew in popularity at different times.

It's also possible that all modern religions spouted from one religion created by people who didn't have any other explanation for the things in nature they saw happening around them.

You are WAY off.
Time line. One religion lead to another.
Judaism predates Christianity which pre-dates Islam.
They are off shoots of each other.
Kinda like Darwinism led us to Evolution.

Someone wrote it and different interpretations of the idea spread outward to the far corners of the world.
It's not a coincidence.
