Why can't humans fly?

Why would evolution pick birds to fly and not humans?

Update:

Again Atheists avoid my question with airplanes.

You're only proving God.

Our brains, ergo our heads, are too big for our puny little lungs/bodies and unflappable arms to hold up.

Now, speaking of bird brains, use your human brain to figure out exactly why humans flying around is NOT a good idea.

Based on that argument, shouldn't everything fly then? If evolution is not true, and God created us, why didn't HE make us fly? You're not making sense.

    Evidence for evolution:

    DNA sequencing,

    Endogenous retroviruses,

similarities between all lineages of DNA, RNA, amino acids, and the lipid bilayer,

    Pseudogenes

    genome and gene duplication

    horizontal gene transfer

    Cat endogenous retroviruses

    Chromosome 2 in humans

    Cytochrome c

    Human endogenous retroviruses

    Human mitochondrial DNA haplogroup

    Human Y-chromosome DNA haplogroup

    Atavisms

Evolutionary developmental biology and embryonic development

Homologous structures and divergent (adaptive) evolution

    Nested hierarchies and classification

    Fossil Record

    Continental distribution

    Island biogeography

    Antibiotic and pesticide resistance

    E. coli long-term evolution experiment

    Lactose intolerance in humans

    Nylon-eating bacteria

    PCB tolerance

    Peppered moth

    Radiotrophic fungus

    Urban wildlife

    Vestigial structures in embryonic development:

    Hind structures in whales

    Insect mouthparts

    Other arthropod appendages

    Pelvic structure of dinosaurs

    Pentadactyl limb

    Recurrent laryngeal nerve in giraffes

    Route of the vas deferens

    observed speciation:

    Blackcap

    Drosophila melanogaster

    Hawthorn fly

    London Underground mosquito

    Madeira House Mouse

    Mollies

    Thale cress

    Evidence for a diety:

    None

Evolution didn't God did. Our bodies were not designed for wings, so you can't fly without wings can you? Unless you are on a plane or some other type of flying machine.

Same answer as someone else got today: we didnt evolve from birds though people who ask questions like this somehow might, for birds are known to have pretty small brains

The necessary genetic mutation and recombination didn't occur in our line for wings to be selected. We got a big brain instead , which enabled us to fly anyway.

Because we are not birds. They would have to call us birds and not humans. We do not fly because there are no toilets up there.

    No wings.

No reason for people to fly.

We do fly. Our intellect allowed us to design and fabricate airplanes.

Wow. Once again atheists confound you with logic and reason. Damn atheists.
