In the state of Virginia, if you miss a court date, will you be put in jail?
The lady I babysit for put a restraining order on an ex, then missed the court date and was put in jail until her friend bailed her out. At least that's what she told me. Does her story check out?

Yes, you can since it is against the law to skip a court date without rescheduling another one.
