I know I asked this already a few days ago, but my cat has a tumor under his tongue - what's wrong?
They vets did a biopsy and it'll take 2 weeks, but I want to know...
He doesn't have trouble eating, but he drools sometimes when you pet him. I guess from the vet's view it is a hard lump, I don't know how big it is but I figure it's not huge because he eats fine. Will he be okay? He's 14 years old if that helps. I know if worse comes to worse I'll have to put him down, but he doesn't act bad or in pain or anything at all. I know this sounds morbid but... how long, if it's a bad problem, do you think he will live for? He acts alright... just... blah I just want to know anything about it. What could it be?? Any answer at all is appreciated, and if it helps, easy 5 stars.

There is absolutely no way to tell what it could be. The biopsy will tell if it is cancerous or benign. The vet may want to remove it either way if it could grow larger and affect the cats health. If it is not painful to the cat and he is acting normally, there is not reason to put him down. You and the vet will make the decision after you consult with him. I wish the best for you and your cat.

All these questions are for your vet. No one here can tell you what it is. You will get guesses and that is all. You will have to wait for the vet to get answers. No one can tell you how long he will live or how quick the tumor will or will not grow. Five stars in not worth guessing and giving you the wrong answer, which may or may not be what is happening to your cat. Make your list of questions about your cat and keep it close by so when the vet does call you can get your answers. Good luck with your baby...

Call around to other vet clinics most will take their time to talk to you and just tell them it has a lump under his tongue and they will most likely diagnose him over the phone free of charge. If the vet you are going to now doesn't get any results in the next 2 weeks I would check in with a different veterinarian. If he doesn't seem like he is suffering do not put him down he will probably stay alive if it is just an abscess or something treatable but if it is something deadly you never know :(
