my kitten acting a little too mellow?

I adopted a 2 month old kitten last Friday. The first few days she was acting like a normal kitten. Very playful at times..

Lately she seems zoned out. As I'm typing this she is sitting in the middle of the room just staring into space. Not looking at anything in particular. She has been doing this quite a bit lately for up to 30 minutes at a time.

When I try to play with her by using a laser pointer or using one of the many toys she has, she isn't very interested. She just kind of sits there and looks at it.

Also, her meows lately have been very silent and sometimes she doesn't even make a sound when she does it.

Do you think maybe she's sick? I have had a few cats before and they never acted like this. Thoughts?
