I have a Pre-Existing Condition and Insurance won't cover me, Should a Law say they should?

I was BORN with a Pretty bad Heart Problem and I am unable to get Insurance because of something I was Born with and can't Control.

Even With my Employer they still deny me.

Under Obama-Care a Pre-Existing Condition like mine is not a reason that Insurance can Deny me.

But Many want to get rid of it??? Why???

And what should I do Besides go on Welfare and using Tax Payer Money?????

Private citizens LIVES should never have been open to unregulated capitalism in the first place.

And yet it WAS an open market to see who could afford to live and who should die.... and even with that RIGGED system regardless of how many times the Republicans want to say it out loud.... "America has the best health care in the world".... SIMPLY IS NOT TRUE. Not by a long shot.

They don't WANT to admit that sometimes the "free market" FAILS "the people" but the facts are self evident.

In 2013 or 2014 adults will be able to get insurance and not be rejected under Health Care Act, yes.

You probably dont even qualify for welfare and Medicaid which Repubs are getting rid of.

You have a choice to go to any county or community health clinic and pay cash. $

Or, you can sign up for your state high risk insurance plan. $$$$

Usually group health plans accept people with pre-existing conditions except pregnancy.

I think the insurance mandate is what most people object to, not the various parts of the bill. They would prefer not to buy insurance and show up at the ER room and have the unpaid bill go to the federal government for payment, or get a bill collector to chase them, rather than buy health insurance and get a tax credit to defray the cost.

That is the kind of discrimination that makes them money. Insurance companies are in it for the profit, not just for your and my protection. Doctors charge too much, hospitals charge too much, drug companies charge too much. In the end it's all about money. I don't understand why if I'm not part of a large group I have to pay more for insurance than a group member. Tell me that's not discrimination. You have my sympathy. Along with all the people with high blood pressure and diabetes. As far as the tax payer money, they will waste it on something, you might as well get your share.

Forcing an insurance company to cover a pre-existing medical condition would be no different than forcing an insurer to issue you flood insurance after your home was already underwater. Insurance is a hedge against risk, not a guarantee against an incident happening. If someone else is forced to cover your expenses without giving them the opportunity to weigh the cost/risk analysis of covering your health - that amounts to welfare, not insurance.

I feel for you, I really do. I'm curious as to why an employer's insurance wouldn't cover you, though. Usually, they have open enrollment with no pre-screening.

However, I see the point in not covering you. If they did, it wouldn't be "insurance" it would be "okay, we'll just go ahead and pay your medical expenses". It would be like getting auto insurance after you've already had a wreck or opening a casino where you were guaranteed to win. How long would that casino stay in business?

Group Insurance plans do not deny for pre-existing conditions.

Now if you have some extreme conditions I can see an exception but those people I have no problem with supplemental tax payer assisted insurance, as long as you continue to pay your reasonable amount too.

The obamacare re-existing condition part is used with the small penalty for no insurance to allow users to only buy insurance when they need it. Forcing private insurance out of business.

Of course a law should prohibit this. It's common sense if you ask me, but common sense is not so common. Hopefully one day, America will rise from being the type of country where corruption flourishes, and you will have basic health care. However, until then, it wouldn't be a bad idea to travel to a pro-health care country like Canada or England, where people aren't left to die in the street.

Socialized medicine is really a good thing. If you look at other countries with social healthcare, you notice that it is a LOT cheaper, and nobody gets left behind. Yeah, some will say "why should we pay for it?" when in the end, it will save our economy a LOT of money, since people can actually afford preventative measures for conditions that will stop more expensive operations in the future. Yeah, we all will be paying for it, but in the end,it's better for the economy AND the sick.

Know you what Obamacare is for, unfortunately it does not take effect until 2014 and is stuck in the courts/

There are other alternatives. I have a bad heart as well but take lots of Natural supplements. Not sure if this will work for you but at least consider this option where all else fails
