Senior Citizens!, as it is getting near that time of year that we remember our fallen, may I offer this to?

Their memories.........Sadness Drum! Oh play thy tune, thou mournful drum. Play it till, thy dirge is done. Draped in black!, thy muffled sound, Fills with woe, the crowds around.. Let thy tongue, make men aware!, That their sons, are being buried there! Those bright young souls, who gave their all. To answer to, your battle call!. Your voice was then, staccato bright, Now so hushed, and dark as night!......I wrote this in honour of all the lads who did not come home.........

God bless them all, and God bless you for your heartfelt words. I hope that the families of those brave men and women have the opportunity to see and hear these words, as I know they would appreciate knowing that there are many who reverence their loved ones and share their loss. Thank you for sharing another touching piece.

Very nice. I believe the haunting sound of bagpipes trilling softly with the muffled sound of the drums would be fit nicely with your words of remembrance.

Thank you Thomas. There were too many. I'm glad my Grandson made it back from Afghanistan. Although he is missing his right leg. Another generation, another war. "Oh when will they ever learn, oh when will they ever learn?"

how about remembering the ones that lived through it and spent time in a prison camp like my dad, he never forgot it, refused to take the medals they offered, and had nightmares for the rest of his life,

Sad but very thoughtful of you. Does give one the chills, really feel badly for their families.
