I Have A Hard Drive Issue?

My friend got me a solid state drive (60gb) and its already full. I want to install something on my original hard drive (the one the computer came with), but I don't know how to make that my primary hard drive (as in when I turn on the computer, it uses that hard drive with the programs it has as opposed to the solid state).

Please help!!!

Update:

In response to Bill R. Thats what Im trying to do. I cant access the programs on my normal drive. Only thing I can do is access stuff on my SSD.
