Needing Boys Baby Clothes!! Not much $$ where to look? Suggestions on how to get help.?
I recently reconnected with a friend who is fixing to give birth to a boy in like 5 weeks. She has had a very hard life and has nothing to speak of for herself or for her little boy. I want to help her out as much as I can but am tight on money. We live in San Antonio TX and I am looking for suggestions on how to go about getting her some maternity clothes and most importantly baby clothes and items for her son. I plan on taking her to the Goodwill and seeing if they have anything she would like but other than that I am at loss for ideas. Do yall know of any charity's or anything that would be willing to help us out? Thank you in advance for all of your advice and suggestions it is extremely appreciated.

I would also try local churches as they often have clothing closets/vouchers to give to people who need help. Asking on freecycle is another way to get some nice items, as well as going to children's consignment shops and thrift stores. I find church rummage sales are fabulous to buy clothes, as they will sell you a huge bag of items for 1 to 3 dollars. She is lucky to have you for a friend.

There are many FB groups on FB that sell things regarding babies. Baby clothes, maternity clothes, to toys, walkers etc . You just have to try searching and i'm sure they'll be heaps.
all the best
((if she's due in 5 weeks, I don't think maternity clothes would be needed as she could go into an early labour, but the choice is always up to the buyer)
good luck

You can try freecycle, people are bound to give her stuff. Try crisis pregnancy centers, crisis nurseries, goodwill, salvation army, craigslist, etc.
See if your county has a help book. Lots of food pantries also have a clothing closet. Lots of places have a layette program for new moms. If she is signed up for WIC she has a caseworker who can help her find more stuff. With a caseworker referral you can get most anything you need for free.

Goodwill, thrift store, you can sometimes get stuff on clearance at walmart, or meijer...
But try those other places! I get some steals on clothes when I shop around

eBay is a godsend! I've purchased several baby boy clothing lots or way under retail pricing and they come with cute stuff too!
