Was it all part of Newt's plan?

Was Gingrich planning all along to lay back and wait for the opposition to shoot themselves in the foot before stepping up, or were Perry and Cain's problems just a lucky break?

    Lucky break.

The first primaries in Iowa are critical - a poor showing there can crush a candidacy. There's no time to "sit back and wait" for someone else to mess up. Newt got lucky that Cain is facing serious allegations and that Perry had an utter meltdown on live television.

Newt is a very Intelligent man, yet nobody was listening to him initially because they saw him as typical old white guy republican. Fact is Newt brought democrats and conservatives together under Clinton as Speaker of the House. He knew that working together would accomplish more for the people instead of waging wars against the two party's. He has been the only candidate to put the media in their place and has refused to fight with the other candidate. His message is starting to resonate with the people because the top runners have gotten involved in infighting amongst themselves. He would be a great POTUS, because he would not be focused on division yet on unification!

Maybe he has Karl Rove pulling the strings and levers in the background. It certainly does show just how desperate the GOP is for any kind of solid and stable leadership. Since it has been the Republican plan for more than three years to render Obama completely ineffective, even at the expense of the electorate, you'd think that with three years of preparation time to come up with some better candidates than that circus sideshow they have now.

Was it planned? No, Newt's always had horseshoes up his a**.

    I like Newt

he is incredibly smart and would be a great President.

He recognizes social engineering from the right and the left and is against it like most Americans.

    But....

He would need a Congress that kept him in check. Better than they are doing with Obama who just goes dictator and does what he wants.

And Newt has some very good ideas about Health Care, wrote a couple of books.

Newt may be a mess in personal matters but he is one sharp politician an has been around a long time.

Well he did watch the best candidate spend all his money and run short(Tim Pawlenty). He did get to sell some books calling it a campaign. But it doesn't matter. Newt is as bought and paid for as the rest.

I don't think so. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gingrich choose Cain as his VP.

Newt will eat a bunch of dehydrated worms, and bask under his sun lamp to digest all his bs he sells Conservatives.
