a question about the 2nd amendment and gun owners?

Using the second ammendment to intimdate someone is very wrong on many different levels. Also, the notion that any amount of armed citizens could stand a chance against the US Military is laughable at best.

The second ammendment is the most important part of the Constitution, because without it, we cannot defend the rest of the Constitution.

Your statements are treasonous and you are what is called an anarchist. I would take anarchy over socialism but it would be nearly as bad. America was set up as more of an Anarchy under the Articles of the Confederation and it did not work which is how we ended up with the Constitution.

For the simple reason that carrying a gun in Washington DC is a felony and most gun owners are by nature law abiding citizens.

I get the 200,000 part but what you don't realize is that at some point it would escalate and they would either have to use them or get arrested. Being that it is DC, they would call in the Armed Forces and rightfully so.

Many of these people wouldn't want to die, be imprisoned or lose their rights which this would do.

Don't get me wrong since I'm all for it but not even I don't think it's a good plan. If I'm going to go to DC my my guns I sure as hell ain't going to march peacefully and let them shoot me down.

Besides, there isn't an issue out there that could fuse 200k gun owners YET.

Americans are currently too apathetic. After all if they really cared about change they'd just vote the status quo types out. In reality, we have it too good in this country to resort to violence, but that could always change.

I am always amazed at the people who want to move this country away from the policies, work ethic and morals that made this country the envy of the world. We have a standard of living that is second to none but all some people can do is gripe, complain and insist that the rich are not paying their fair share. I do not feel like that is anywhere close to a majority, only that the sympathetic media gives them the most attention and makes every attempt to win converts over to the whine and complain crowd.

Quite simply we could. However all but a very few of us think it's not time for that yet.

Bottom line, as long as we can freely and fairly elect our own leaders, I don't think it's time to consider 2nd Amendment solutions.

The vast majority of legal gun owners are sensible, responsible adults who only use their weapons as a last resort - as in when the government goons are at the front door demanding that you comply with their latest stupidity.
