Do I need to go the vet for this?
Hey guys. I have a question about cat allergies. One of our cats has this stuff running out of its eye. I'm not sure but I think it may be allergies. I was wondering- will he need to go to the vet for that or will it clear up on its own? Thanks! He had the eye issues before but it cleared up.

You can help cure your cats eye by getting a tea called manzanilla tea. All you do is make the tea and get a cotton ball soak it in the tea and gently dab it on your cats eye. It will cure it fast!!

It could be a lot of things. It could be allergies, it could be a symptom of an upper respiratory infection, or it could be irritation of the eye. So yeah, kitty should see a vet to determine what the cause is.
One of my cats actually has a viral issue in one eye that he contracted at the shelter I got him from... it makes his eye run every once in awhile. His vet said to just give him some saline eye drops and that usually clears it up after a day or two.

If he has had it before and it cleared up on its own he wil probably be fine. Just watch him and take a warm washrag and wipe it off a couple times a day. It helps clear it up. If his eyeball starts looking red or if the drainage looks green or continues more than 2 weeks go see a vet.

Please don't wait until it just clears up. It could be allergies or it could be an upper respiratory infection brewing. They get worse quickly and can be stopped with antibiotics. It is always best to be on the safe side with a pet that you love so much.

Go to the vet. Better safe than sorry. Plus, poor kitty is probably tired of suffering!

You might want to take it to the vet just in case.... You never know what it could be.
