What are your thoughts on Barney Frank's retirement?
Did anyone see the Today Show interview from 11/29/11?

I didn't see the Today Show but I heard his resignation speech yesterday. I could only be more elated if Maxine Waters is in line to take his position. More corruption!
Good to see we are now free of Frank and Dodd. They can retire on taxpayer funds after they created the housing market and caused so much grief and financial disaster to millions.

Good riddance and it's about time, also "thank God".
I cannot say it enough, it's high time that guy stepped down.
Aside from my opinion that he is a crook and he is very responsible for the mortgage crisis in this country, I have to wonder why a 71 year old has been in office all this time anyway.
Have a nice retirement, and leave us alone. I think we can do lots better.

I've got a few:
1. At least he's finally gone.
2. How does he get away with directly playing a part in causing the housing market collapse without any penalties or jail time?
3. I still don't understand how members of Congress can continually have horrible job performance yet keep voting themselves raises each year then get an abnormally loaded set of pension/benefits for life upon retirement regardless of age and service time.

Good Riddance. He was probably the worst legislator in the history of the US. He bears more responsibility for the collapse of our economy and our housing market than any other individual. He should be in prison. I know children who know more about economics than Barney Frank does. He's a crook and he should be investigated and face criminal charges.

He's running before the "Crime Stoppers" could/would've ZEROED in on him as that dirty bastard Dodd did.
Not even his immunity would've protected him. Both he and Dodd were directly culpable for the financial collapse, downgrades and uncountable personal tragedies.
He should be in prison, and if he wasn't in Congress ... both he & Dodd, would be.

I wouldn't doubt it but Barney Franks screwed the country up so bad that he will probably screw up his retirement also. He' what everyone calls a ...........failure of the human race!

Saw his retirement on C-Span and was glad he quit!
Sadly it is about 10 terms too late.
Will not miss him or the lies he spreads about the banking any more.
