Why does it take so long to get prescription glasses?
Went to eye doctor today. I have astigmatism and obviously need glasses. Picked out a pair and they said they would be ready in six to eight weeks. WTF takes so long? Especially these days. DAmn

They must use a distant lab to process - that's a LONG time.
Or they under promise and over deliver - give you a long waiting time, and then when they come in early, you'll be pleasantly surprised and happy.
