How can I find the "right" religion for me?
My mother tried to raise me Catholic but gave up when I turned 3.
Then I decided I wanted to go to a Baptist church on and off between the ages of 11 and 16.
I'm 17 now and I'm feeling rather lost without a concrete set of beliefs.
I've been looking into the muslim and jewish religions but I'm so unsure about everything.
I'm thinking embracing a jewish religion might be best for me but I still have a lot of research to do...
How do I just know?

No one can answer this question but you. You are the only person who knows what you believe.
Do some soul searching and choose your path. This might take a while considering you are 17 (your views and beliefs will probably change alot in years to come).
Just take it all with a grain of salt and look inside yourself. :)
Good luck.

You have to do some major self-searching. Ask yourself what you really believe and try find religions that have similarities with your beliefs. You can start with one of those cheesy belief quizzes, but I suggest you not take the answer to heart. You could start studying whatever religion the results say is "right for you" and go from there. Just don't rush into anything. It's ok if you can't be spiritual right away (: Best of luck to you.

find people who belong to a group you are interested in and talk with them. there are plenty of websites that explain the core beliefs. and lastly i would advise you to take a trip to the library and do some research. i personally am a strong agnostic but i know what its like to be unsure about what religion best suited my ideas. good luck to you.

Religions hold no answers. Look into Taoism. It's considered by some to be a religion and by others to be simply a philosophy. I was into it when I was your age. My studies of Taoism led me on an interesting journey that ended at the junction of reason and skepticism.

You don't need to have a religion to be a good person with good morals and have a good life. It's just a waste of time because they're all likely false.
But if you insist on choosing one, choose Buddhism, because it's all about believing in yourself and achieving your full potential, and that is a great attitude to have.

Do you place any value on whether or not the beliefs are true? If not, I guess one set is as good as another. But if you do, do you really want to adopt a ready-made set like that? Why not search for your own truth?

What is this need to belong to a religion or set of beliefs? Never made sense to me. It's all in mind.

I would suggest looking at science and reason and therefore determining that the best position is agnosticism or atheism.
But if you want to be religious no one should stop you so just research religions and see which one suits you.

Just do what feels right, man. Except for Scientology. Please, for the love of common sense, don't join Scientology. I swear on Thorachu's mighty Pjokemir Hammer, I will throttle you if you go to them.
But seriously, anything's a good choice. As long as you're happy. ...And don't hate on other people for THEIR beliefs. :3

It does not work like that. You cant find a religion right for you. There is no point in choosing a religion because it suits you. YOU NEED TO FIND THE TRUTH. The truth might not suit you but there can only be one true religion. Our creator never said anywhere that we can worship him how we want or he is whatever we want him to be.
- No Our creator tells us exactly who he is and how he wants to be worshiped. You need a religion that teaches the truth and worships God in accord with his standards not yours. To be honest you need to develop that desire to serve God first in "Spirit and Truth" before you serch for religion. Your attitude needs to:
How can i find the "right" religion for God? - Not for yourselve.
