why isn't my sd card/ memory card working when i insert it into my laptop?
it's 1gb when i insert it, it say windows need to instal driver software generic-multi card usb device. I even clicked to find it online (recomended) but i know that not gonna work because it's not a device im intsalling all it is, Is a memory card! so i can get my pictures and videos.
Please help me.

If you are not running win 98 which I very much doubt and if it is a standard SD card this should work in your laptop's inbuilt card reader slot.
So can you give me your laptop make and model, and operating system.
Also information on your memory card.
When you do I can look at your laptop specs. We can reload the drivers for the device,but not sure why they should have gone corrupt.
Have you tried your card in another p.c.

It should work-when I inserted my memory card 8GB Windows installed driver automatically and i could almost immediatly use it. if windows wont do it then manually download drivers from the card vendor site.
