Where Can I Get A Good AR-15 For Around $300?
I really want one for deer and hog hunting. Any brands that are better than others? I would like a 308. Where can I get one? Thanks, God bless.

I don't think you can unless you get lucky and find a used one a good ar will cost 600+

The .308 round is to long to feed in an AR-15. You will have to go with the AR-10 or DPMS LR-308. Those will run you at least $1000. Back to your original question AR-15 for $300. Check craigslist. Look around for someone selling a Lamborghini for $10,000. I am sure that he will have an AR-15 for $300 too.

Good ar15 and $300 really can't be used in the same sentence. A cheap used ar15 will be about $400 to $600. You might be able to build one for around $300-$400 if you shop around for used parts. New parts build is one of the cheapest and will cost between $450-$600 with luck. For this price you will be getting a very basic ar in 223 caliber.
One in 308 is going to jump the price considerably. At least $800-$1000 for a cheap one.
I have been shopping for one in 6.8 spc, and the cheapest I can get one if I build it myself is right at $800. What I have in mind will run a little higher.

U r joking, right?
Well, OK, just in case u r serious, you would have to time travel back to about 1980 for that. And the AR-15 is chambered in 223 Rem/5.56 NATO, not 308 Win.
In any event, either rifle will set you back close to a $1,000 USD new or $750 USD pre-owned.
Also, to my knowledge, it is illegal in most ( if not all states ) to hunt deer w/ a 22 caliber firearm, even if it's a center-fire ( 223 ) not a rim-fire ( 22LR ).

No where. And the gun you are looking for is an AR-10 not an AR-15. AR-15's shoot .223 or 5.56x45, and the AR-10 shoots .308 or 7.62x51 and you aren't even going to find an AR-10 Stripped lower receiver for under $300 much less the whole gun.

Not gonna happen. You would want an AR-10 and unless you have around $1,500 you're not gonna get one. Hell even the crappy AR's cost at least double what you budget.
Now the question is do you simply not know what to expect to pay or you do but are a cheap bastard? You save up more money. That's what you do. You take the extra time.

That is going to be difficult to find for that price.
Might suggest looking at an AK or variant of an AK if you want an assault type semi-auto for hog and deer at that price.

You wont be able to find an AR-10 like you want for anywhere near that price. You are closer to the .22lr range, there are lots of AR-15 style .22lr's.

your gonna need like 800 for an ar15 and 308s are ar10s btw
