Need help with opening a flash drive on my macbook pro laptop.?

Okay, so you know how on PCs/Dells they have the "My Computer" link and you click it and you can see all the disk drives and when you put in a flash drive it shows up on there?

Where would you find that same type of thing on a Macbook Pro?

Update:

are you able to pay attention/experience the complicated force spinning up? that's a trademark of what's functioning or not. in case you experience soft, you're able to be waiting to take the case aside, and eliminate the honestly complicated force (could be like the different laptop complicated force) and connect it right into a caddy (ensure you get the final form of caddy for the complicated force) to work out despite if that's then readable. Caddies generally run ~$20 from a reasonable shop.

Open disk utilities (application folder-Utilities folder-disk utilities) you will see it on the left.

Also, set you finder preferences to show all mounted hard drives, then when you insert the USB, it will automatically show on your desktop.
