Please help me. Is this character idea lame?

I like the gender switch idea... but be careful, because strong characters like these tend to sway towards the annoying, used before, been there done that path.

Make sure they have flaws... being shy doesn't cut it in the "writing world" anymore. Make sure that your character's personality or looks are an important part of the plot. Not because you just want them to look good. It might end up playing too much on that and you'll get something bad.

The names are a hit and a miss. Raven is too close to that one horrible fan-fiction "My Immortal." So... I think you should definitely change the name of the girl. Look at different names in different cultures, religions, and languages. You might get something you like.

As for Jasper... I feel the same way as I do with Raven. It's not very intriguing. But that's just me, and I am on the edge of different. So, it could just be my bias/problem.

The girl sounds great, love the idea.

The boy is great too, its just taking me some time to get used to the idea of a somewhat male version of red riding hood. Its a very creative idea. :D

I love the chick, she sounds seriously sick, but definitely not the name Raven. I like it, it's just a little overused. I'd say Lupa, or Shakira (that was a joke). And the guy seems good, but are you seriously gonna give him a hood? I'd say a red hoodie would be cool, or like a cloak if you wanna stay closer to the story. Good luck! ^_^
