I want to move to Seattle so bad!?

So I was born I Tacoma which is just south of Seattle. I moved to Salt Lake City when I was 5. When I was in 3rd grade my parents got divorced. Soon after my mom got remarried and moved to northern Utah. Not know what to do my brother and I moved up with her. My dad couldn't stand to be away from us so he moved up too. Im almost 15 now and just the other night when I was with my dad and brother I brought up moving back to Seattle. They loved the idea. People in northern Utah are just a little too conservative for us. It's really hard to make friends here. People only stick with their "clicks". So I want to move really really bad! I'm not very attached to my friends. So, finally I'll get to the point. I would be moving with my dad and brother and we would probably move to Vashon Island (where my mom grew up) but I am really close with my mom. I can't even think how hard it would be to leave her. When I told her we were thinking about moving we both just burst out crying!:( she is the only thing keeping me in this godforsaken town. But I really really really want to move!!!! But I don't want to leave my mom! What do I do!? O yeah and I should add that my dad is bipolar and it can be very difficult to live with him at times so it would be hard to live with him 24/7

I hope you are talking about the family moving back to Seattle and if so I have to say we are of the same mindset. We were transferred to Alaska some years ago and have hated it so bad we are retiring early, minimum time, to move back to Seattle where we never wanted to leave. We actually lived on Whidbey Island and miss all the great culture and endless activities.

Seattle is a sleeper or so my folks would say, I was born just north of there. We were taught to tell everyone that it always rains in Seattle to keep our home from being over-run. Across the sound in Poulsbo life is even better and areas like Kingston and Port Ludlow are off the chart incredible.

Vashon Island is a bit out of my price range but if I could I would move there today.

At some point in our life we all leave our parents, our oldest is in grad school 3500 miles away. It is tough but part of life too. Your mom will understand and will actually be happy is she hears that you are happier in Seattle. We parents are funny that way, we want you here with us but more so we want you to be happy.

Was your dad having mood swings in Seattle too? Job and other pressures can cause this so it is possible that a change to Seattle might be good for him too. I know that being here in Alaska has made me a bear to live with, no pun intended. But it is true, I am not happy here at all and fly out about every two months or so. We keep our Motorhome in storage behind the airport in Bellingham and our boat moored in Anacortes just for this reason.

So I guess all I can say is join the party of Seattlites longing to get back to the place we love to call home.

Wait three years and move to Seattle when you are a legal adult, this is what I would do. You have a good relationship with your mom and dad but it sounds like living with dad would be hard.

I would just move there when you turn 18.

i imagine Oklahoma city having a team is inevitable. that it really is the Supersonics is surprising, because Seattle is a good activities city. nevertheless, it cost a large style of money to construct Safeco container and the recent Seahawks stadium, so there may no longer be any public pastime in making an investment money on the Sonics, who're obviously the third team on the city.
