Why are there no Republican candidates with socially Liberal policies?

What if Romney supported a balanced budget AND gay rights? Would that really be so bizarre?

Why is it that every Conservative politician also seems to be an Uber-Christian?

Libertarians usually mix conservative economic policies with liberal social policies. They promote freedom of choice with minimal government interference in people's private and economic life.

You're confused. "Socially liberal" means getting Federal bureaucrats in such total control that no one ever has ANY decisions they're allowed to make.

    Consider:

    > At MOST, you may be able to think of a handful of times EVER that your day has been balked by "conservative" policy.

    > At no point in your life have you EVER gone more than a few hours between encounters with LIBERALS' CONTROLS.

Good question. I would imagine it has to do with the approval of other Republicans and their peers. Most Republicans are fiscal or conservation, which unfortunately in our modern era being Republican means being a religious nut, and I don't know why. One of my main beefs with Republicans is how they must bring their staunch religious beliefs. Basically, if their is a more liberial Republican, I am sure they have to seem more conservative due to the majority of American ''Jesus freak'' right wingers to get a vote.

What rights do you want supported. We have bigger more important problems to worry about and act on then who sleeps with who.

Uber-Christian? Where did you dredge that up from?

Look, for the most part they are puppets for the Wall Street banksters. They will promise you anything but won't deliver. Ron Paul will die trying!

Cause they don't, nor should they, get elected.

If I wanted someone who was socially liberal, I'd vote for a democrat.
